FREE Diagnostics
Most shops start charging you as soon as you walk in the door, before they even look at your computer. We don't think that's fair.
If your machine is misbehaving, or you're looking for an upgrade or replacement, just bring it in and we'll take a look at it free of charge - no strings attached.
Free diagnostics are good for any type of computer ailment, including:
- Computer running slow
- Possible virus or spyware infection
- Machines making funny noises
- "The kids got ahold of it for the weekend, and now I don't know what's wrong!"
- Deciding if it's time for an upgrade
Repairs and Upgrades
Most machines can be repaired - especially if they're running Windows 2000 or XP. Even older machines can usually be upgraded instead of replaced. We will never force you into buying a new machine that you don't really need.
If it IS finally time for a new machine, we can build one to suit your needs. There's no sense in paying hundreds of dollars for a high-end machine if all you want to do is surf the Internet and check your email, right?

Service Fees
In-Shop Rate: $45
House Calls: $45 per hour - areas outside Higginsville incur a small additional fee to cover gas and expenses
Virus and Spyware Removal: In shop: $45 to $90 depending on severity of infection; House Call: standard hourly rate -- most infections take about 2 hours to clean up, but a select few are very persistent. We will make sure your virus protection is up to date and take steps to prevent future infections.
Install/Reinstall/Upgrade Windows: Windows 2000/XP/Vista - $65 at the shop / $200 at your house.
This includes all the updates and service packs available at the time of install. Purchase of Windows operating system is not included.
We do not install any version of Windows prior to Windows 2000 because Microsoft no longer releases security updates for those versions. This leaves your computer vulnerable to viruses and spyware.
We do have copies of Windows 98 available if you would like to install it yourself.
Data Backup and Recovery: $50 to $100 depending on how much data needs to be recovered or backed up.
If your computer can power on but just can't get into Windows, we can usually recover your most important files - documents, pictures, videos, and music - and back them up to CD/DVD or put them back on your computer after you reinstall Windows.
Home Theater Setup: Come in and talk to us about what you need. We can create a fully-integrated home theater setup or simply connect your DVD player and your Playstation/Xbox/Wii to your TV.
Home Networking:
Basic networks start at $65. For example: setting up a wireless router and connecting a laptop and/or desktop.
Components include: computers (wired or wireless), printers, Playstation/Xbox/Wii, wireless routers and access points, cable and DSL modems, Digital Video Recorders (DVRs or Tivos), home theater PCs, and PDAs. Just about anything can be connected, just ask.
File and printer sharing is a flat $35, regardless of how many components are sharing the resources.
Hardware is not included. Some customers like to buy their own and some like us to buy it for them. Let us know what your needs are and we'll work with you.
We can make custom network cables from 6 inches to 328 feet long (the maximum length of a Cat5 cable). Custom cables are $.35/ft.
